Agartala, Feb. 6 -- A female labourer was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a brick kiln in Kalikhola ADC Village, under Jatrapur police station in Tripura's Sepahijala district.
The victim has been identified as Swapna Tikka (22). Her spouse, Jagannath Kujur (24), also works as a labourer at the same brick kiln. Both are from Jharkhand and were employed there as migrant workers, police said on Thursady night.
The kiln's manager, Sanjay Naha, said as many as 85 labourers were employed at the brick kiln, with 52 of them being migrant workers from Jharkhand, comprising both men and women. As the sun rose, all labourers exited their temporary accommodations to commence work.
