Patna, Jan. 26 -- Father of the NEET aspirant, whose suspicious death has triggered widespread outrage across Bihar, has raised serious questions on fairness of the probe being conducted by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Bihar Police. In a letter written to Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Vinay Kumar, he has demanded an impartial and comprehensive investigation on eight specific points.
The father pointed out that the death was initially described as a natural death or suicide, and that allegations of sexual violence were dismissed at the very outset of the investigation. But the evidences coming to light as part of the SIT investigation have placed the working style of the Patna Police under serious scrutiny.
