New Delhi, Sept. 3 -- Residents and farmers from around 15-20 villages of South West Delhi around the Najafgarh area, who are currently struggling with a flood-like situation, met with administrative officials on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, and the concerned DM.

The villagers were led by Sakal Panchayat Palam 360 chief Surender Solanki, and met DCP Ankit Singh and DM M.C. Prasad, highlighting their plight, said the rural leader.

After receiving the memorandum, the DM immediately took cognizance and instructed the concerned Chief Engineer and the SDM to visit these areas in a bid to assess the situation and expedite relief efforts for the village population.
