Pune, July 9 -- Maharashtra BJP spokesperson and president of Creative Foundation, Sandeep Khardekar, organised a programme to distribute raincoats to 40 farmers here on the occasion of Guru Purnima today.
Highlighting the farmer's importance, Khardekar described the farmer as the soul of society and a crucial part of the life cycle.
"Without their persistent efforts, our survival would be unimaginable," he said.
He emphasised that the initiative was a mark of gratitude towards the farming community.
