Chennai, Oct. 28 -- Squarely blaming the DMK government of MK Stalin for the farmers distress as huge amount of paddy kept at procurement centres having been drenched in the rains in the Cauvery delta districts and elsewhere, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president and actor Vijay today warned of the rising tide of resentment which will pack home the ruling dispensation.

Breaking his month-long silence after the September 27 killer stampede at Karur during his rally, Vijay, in a statement, charged the government with being responsible for the damage and destruction of harvested paddy.

"Not only rain during this season is a recurring one, farmers being deprived of the fruits of their labour because of the state government's insensitivity ...
