Chandigarh, Sept. 10 -- In a two-week meticulously planned source-based operation against narco-terror networks Faridkot Police have dismantled an international drug cartel run by Pakistan-based smugglers.
Two key traffickers were arrested, and 12.1 kg of heroin was seized from their possession, Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav said hereTuesday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sukhpreet Singh, a resident of village Jhariwala in Faridkot, and Kadar Singh, a resident of village Waan in Ferozepur.
DGP Yadav said preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were in contact with Pakistan-based smugglers, indicating a larger transnational smuggling network.
