Nagpur, Feb. 15 -- Congress state chief spokesperson Atul Londhe today responded to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' criticism of Congress state president Harshwardhan Sapkal alleging that Fadnavis has tried to take the historical context of the word "equivalent" in a different sense to try to spark religious controversy.
When Congress state president Harshwardhan Sapkal compared Tipu Sultan and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as "equivalent", Devendra Fadnavis criticized it, saying that comparing Tipu Sultan, who killed thousands of Hindus, with Shivaji Maharaj was not appropriate.
