Mumbai, Jan. 30 -- Amid reports that Sunetra Pawar may be sworn in as Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister on Saturday evening, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the decision would be taken entirely by the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and reaffirmed the state government's support for both the party and the Pawar family.
Speaking to reporters in Nagpur, Fadnavis said that whatever decision is taken would be taken by the Nationalist Congress Party itself. He added that the government would stand firmly with the NCP, whether the decision related to Ajit Pawar's family or to the party, and said this support would extend both at the level of governance and within the Bharatiya Janata Party.
