Shillong, Dec. 5 -- The Dorbar Shnong of Mukroh Pyllun, the traditional governing body, has reminded the Meghalaya and central governments to expedite the CBI's investigation into the November 22, 2022 incident, in which five residents were killed in Assam police firing.
In a memorandum submitted to union Home Minister Amit Shah through Meghalaya Governor CH Vijayashankar today, the village council urged the union government to resolve the Assam-Meghalaya boundary dispute at the earliest and instruct the State of Assam to stop all works in the area of Mukroh as defined by the notification notified by JHADC in 1968.
A copy of the memorandum was also submitted to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma and Shillong Lok Sabha member, Ricky Syngkon.
