Amravati, Oct. 28 -- Former MLA and Prahar Janshakti Party chief Bacchu Kadu today launched a tractor march from Chandurbazar in this district to Nagpur, demanding a comprehensive loan waiver for farmers across Maharashtra.
Kadu, leading a large contingent of farmers, said the agitation aims to draw the government's attention to the mounting debt burden faced by cultivators in the state. The march is scheduled to reach Wardha by night and continue to Nagpur tomorrow.
According to Kadu, his office has received an invitation from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for a meeting involving him, the Revenue Minister, and senior officials from 38 departments.
