Brussels, Aug. 20 -- A member of the European Parliament (MEP) commented that the sanctity and credibility of international legal institutions has been severely undermined, amid the West's attempts at waging 'lawfare' against Russian President Vladmir Putin.
The Luxembourg MEP Fernand Kartheiser, made his comments to RT after Switzerland offered to host Ukraine peace talks and suggested that Putin will have immunity from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The ICC issued a warrant against the Russian leader in March 2023, alleging the unlawful deportation of children from Ukraine and war crimes, which Moscow has denied.
