Bengaluru, Jan. 9 -- Former Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa on Friday sought an upgrade of his security cover, citing a suspected threat call from an international number.

Eshwarappa met Shivamogga Superintendent of Police B Nikhil and submitted a letter requesting an investigation into the call and enhancement of his security arrangements.

In the letter, he stated that he received a missed call from an international number on Wednesday. When he tried to return the call, there was no response. He added that he had earlier received a similar threat call from an international number.
