Srinagar, Jan. 23 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of the Crime Branch Jammu and Kashmir has filed a chargesheet before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Budgam, in connection with an alleged case of cheating and forgery involving a residential plot at the Government Housing Colony in Ompora area of Budgam district, officials said on Friday.
The chargsheet was produced in connection with 2023 FIR registered under Sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 IPC of Police Station EOW-Kashmir.
EoW said that acting on a written complaint they initiated an in-depth investigation into claims made by a woman asserting her lawful ownership over the said plot.
