Srinagar, Feb. 20 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of the Crime Branch J&K has filed a chargesheet against four persons for allegedly duping a complainant of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of securing his son's admission to a medical college in Bangladesh, officials said on Friday.
The chargesheet in an FIR, registered in 2025 under Sections 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) IPC, was presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar.
The EoW said the complainant was introduced by a relative to Peerzada Aabid a resident of Bijbehara Anantnag and presently residing at Azad Basti Natipora Srinagar, who in turn connected him with Syed Wasim, proprietor of Europe Consultancy Centre. The duo allegedly assured admi...
