Pune, Aug. 3 -- A significant training workshop on women's safety was held in Pune under the leadership of Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Vice Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council and Chairperson of Stree Adhar Kendra, an organisation that has been working for women's welfare for the past 40 years.

This marked the 23rd such initiative where volunteers were given legal training to ensure the safety of women during large public festivals. The workshop aimed to prepare female volunteers to handle cases of harassment, assault, theft, and child abduction during crowded events like Ganeshotsav.
