Chandigarh, May 2 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed officials to ensure the uninterrupted supply of drinking water across all regions of the state in view of the intensifying summer season.

Presiding over a high-level review meeting with the Public Health and Irrigation Departments at the Secretariat on Saturday, the Chief Minister emphasized that all ponds, waterworks, and reservoirs must be kept filled to meet the rising demand.

He further instructed that in areas dependent on tubewell supply, any mechanical failures must be addressed on a priority basis, and water tankers should be deployed wherever necessary to assist the public.
