Shimla, March 2 -- With the introduction of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) pattern in Government Senior Secondary Schools in Himachal Pradesh resulting in a substantial increase in student admissions, the Directorate of School Education has permitted these institutions to operate in two shifts as a temporary administrative measure to manage the rising enrolment pressure.
In an office order issued on Monday, Director of School Education Ashish Kohli stated that the schools concerned affiliated to CBSE have been permitted to operate in two shifts.
