Kolkata, April 22 -- Following the directive of the Supreme Court, the Election Commission early Wednesday published a supplementary voter list comprising names cleared through tribunal proceedings.

This is a crucial development ahead of the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly Election 2026.

The list, uploaded in the early hours, identifies those among previously disputed voters who will now be eligible to cast their votes in Thursday's high-stakes polling.

The list, formally titled "Appellate Tribunal Supplementary List No. 1," has been released in compliance with directives issued by the Supreme Court.
