Pilibhit, Feb. 11 -- A 65-year-old woman was allegedly killed in a suspected tiger attack in the Mahof forest range of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve (PTR), located about 20 kilometers from the district headquarters near the UP-Uttarakhand border, police said on Wednesday.

The victim, identified as Parul, a resident of Mahof Colony, had reportedly gone into the forest on Tuesday afternoon to collect firewood but did not return home. Her family began searching for her and informed the police later that evening when she could not be found.
