Thane, April 10 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has reportedly established direct contact with eight out of nine Members of Parliament from the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) faction signalling a potential rebellion.

A closed-door meeting was organized at a secret location in Thane on Thursday night, Shinde faction sources said on Friday.

According to the sources, six MPs attended the meeting in person, while two others joined via video call. The MPs believed to have participated in person include Arvind Sawant, Sanjay Dina Patil, Sanjay Deshmukh, Nagesh Patil Ashtikar, Rajaram Wakchaure, Omraje Nimbalkar, Rajabhau Waje, and Sanjay Jadhav.
