Mumbai, Feb. 6 -- Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has decided not to celebrate his birthday on February 9 in view of the accidental demise of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. Shinde has instructed his party workers not to organise any events or put up banners to mark his birthday.
Stating that the loss caused by Ajit Pawar's death is irreparable, Shinde said he has personally lost a sincere colleague and a close friend. "In such circumstances, it would not be appropriate to hold celebrations or birthday programmes. It is important for all of us to stand with the Pawar family in this time of grief," he said.
