New Delhi, Feb. 22 -- Eight suspected terrorists from Tamil Nadu were taken into custody by the Delhi Police Special Cell, after they thwarted a major terror conspiracy, an official said on Sunday.

Among those arrested is a Bangladeshi national. The suspects were allegedly plotting a major attack in India under the direction of Pakistan's ISI and Bangladesh-based terror groups.

The alleged individuals were detained from different garment factories in Tiruppur and later brought to Delhi by train. The team has confiscated dozens of mobile phones and SIM cards from them.

Officials said the suspects arrested were Mizanur Rahman, Mohammad Shabat, Umar, Mohammad Litan, Mohammad Shahid, and Mohommad Ujjal, adding that the other two were arreste...
