Hazaribag, Jan. 12 -- Jharkhand Police have achieved a major breakthrough with the arrest of eight criminals involved in the murder of a reveller on New Year's day and causing serious injuries to his friend.
A blood-stained sword and baseball bat used in the murder have been recovered, police stated in a release on Monday.
According to a press release issued from the Office of the Superintendent of Police, Hazaribag, the incident took place around 10 pm on January 1 following a dispute over playing DJ music in Kolghatti.
The criminals brutally attacked Suraj Kumar Rana near Indrapuri Chowk using swords, sticks, and other lethal weapons, resulting in his death on the spot. In the same incident, Kuldeep Soni sustained serious injuries.
