Patna, June 17 -- Bihar Water Resources Minister and senior JD (U) leader Vijay Kumar Chaudhary on Tuesday said sustained efforts of the Nitish Kumar government to improve living conditions of people of the state, had helped in reducing poverty at the national level.

Chaudhary told media persons here that World Bank in its latest report had recognised the fact that Bihar had played a vital role in reducing poverty at the national level of India. Poverty reduction at national level was listed as major achievement of India by World Bank in its latest report, he pointed out.
