New Delhi, April 9 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Kolkata Zonal Office, on Thursday said it recently conducted search operations at eight premises across the state, in a case linked to Biswajit Podder alias Sona Pappu, Jay S. Kamdar, and others.
An official said that during the searches, cash amounting to Rs 1.47 crore and gold jewellery and silver valued at Rs 67.64 lakh were seized, along with several incriminating documents and digital devices.
Multiple immovable properties, including land and buildings suspected to have been acquired through criminal activities, have also been identified.
A Fortuner vehicle allegedly used by Biswajit Podder alias Sona Pappu was also seized during the operation.
