New Delhi, Feb. 15 -- The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) arrested a doctor from Hyderabad for allegedly running an illegal surrogacy racket. The doctor was produced before the court, which has remanded her to judicial custody till February 26.
The federal financial fraud probing agency had initiated its investigation into the matter stemming from multiple FIRs filed by the Gopalapuram Police Station, Hyderabad over allegations of fraud, cheating, criminal conspiracy, illegal surrogacy and child trafficking.
