Kolkata, Jan. 24 -- Kolkata witnessed a flurry of high-level activity on Friday as Enforcement Directorate (ED) director Rahul Navin held a series of crucial review meetings with senior officials at the CGO Complex.
The discussions reportedly focused on several high-profile investigations currently being handled by the ED's Kolkata zone, including the alleged sand smuggling, coal smuggling and SSC recruitment scam cases.
According to sources, the ED Director reached Kolkata late on Thursday night.
He began closed-door meetings from Friday morning, reviewing the progress, status and future course of action of what are being described as "heavyweight" cases.
Senior and top-ranking ED officers stationed in the city were present.
