New Delhi, Feb. 5 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Jaipur Zonal Office, stated on Thursday that it has arrested Baljeet Yadav, former MLA from the Behror constituency in Rajasthan, in connection with an ongoing investigation into the embezzlement of MLA-Local Area Development (LAD) funds during his tenure.
Yadav was produced before a special PMLA court, which granted the ED three days of custody for further investigation.
The arrest follows an investigation initiated based on an FIR registered by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jaipur. The ED investigation revealed that Baljeet Yadav, during his tenure as MLA (2018-2023), was the key conspirator in the misappropriation of MLA-LAD funds amounting to Rs. 2.87 crore.
