Chandigarh, Nov. 19 -- The Enforcement Directorate today arrested Al-Falah University founder Javed Ahmad Siddiqui after conducting extensive raids across 25 locations linked to the institution.
Siddiqui was taken into custody from the university's Okhla-based office in Delhi under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
During the searches, ED officials sealed the administrative block of the university and reportedly uncovered multiple financial discrepancies.
Investigators found nine shell companies registered at a single address, several firms operating with the same mobile number, and no trace of EPFO records, raising further suspicion about the university's financial structure.
