Bhubaneswar, Jan. 22 -- In a landmark initiative aimed at modernising railway security and passenger services, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has introduced a humanoid robot named "ASC ARJUN" at Visakhapatnam Railway Station.
This first-of-its-kind deployment in Indian Railways has been undertaken under the aegis of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to enhance passenger safety, security, and service delivery through advanced technology.
The humanoid robot was unveiled by Inspector General (RPF) Alok Bohra and Divisional Railway Manager Shri Lalit Bohra in the presence of Senior Divisional Security Commandant (RPF) Shri A.K. Dubey at Visakhapatnam station.
