Shimla, Dec. 5 -- Election Commission of India's focused efforts to strengthen women's participation in the electoral process have yielded visible results in Himachal Pradesh, with the State's women voter gender ratio registering a notable rise.

Chief Electoral Officer Nandita Gupta said the gender ratio, indicating the number of women voters per 1,000 male voters, is closely monitored across all Assembly constituencies, and targeted strategies are implemented wherever the figures fall below district or state averages.
