Bhubaneswar, Feb. 2 -- The proposed Dedicated East-West Freight Corridor, announced in the union Budget, is set to bring transformative growth to Odisha's economy, union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Monday.
The corridor, which will connect West Bengal through Jharkhand and Odisha to Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, promises to revolutionize both industrial development and passenger services in the state.
Speaking on the initiative, Pradhan highlighted that the record allocation under the Purvodaya Mission will generate new employment opportunities for Odisha's youth and serve as a cornerstone in building a developed Odisha.
