Dumka, Jan. 5 -- Angry villagers blocked NH 114A at the main chowk of Shikaripara block headquarters, protesting the murder of an e-rickshaw driver.
The demonstrators placed the body on the highway, demanding the arrest of those involved in the killing and compensation for the victim's family.
The deceased has been identified as Safaruddin Mian, an e-rickshaw driver from Shimla Dhaka village under Shikaripara police station area.
According to police, a land dispute was ongoing between two groups in the village.
On Sunday, members of one group were travelling to the police station in Safaruddin's e-rickshaw to resolve the dispute when they were stopped by the rival group.
