Aizawl, March 4 -- In a significant anti-narcotics operation along the Indo-Myanmar border, police have seized heroin and methamphetamine worth over Rs 4.88 crore and arrested three persons, including two Myanmar nationals, in Champhai district of eastern Mizoram, officials said today.

A senior police official in Champhai said the seizure was made on Sunday afternoon during routine surveillance near Chhungte village, located below Champhai town, a key transit point close to the international border.
