Bokaro, Feb. 20 -- Following the death of more than six people in elephant attacks in recent months in the remote hill areas under the Bermo subdivision of Bokaro district of Jharkhand, the district administration has decided to intensify drone surveillance system to monitor elephant movement and prevent further casualties.

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Nath chaired a meeting with officials of the Forest Department and other agencies and directed them to take all possible measures to ensure the safety of lives, property and standing crops. He stressed that protection of human life remains the administration's foremost priority.
