Chennai, March 27 -- The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), the nodal agency for CBIC for Election Expenditure Monitoring, today launched 24x7 helplines to curb, smuggling and illicit trade ahead of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Assembly polls.
DRI is playing a crucial role in supporting the conduct of free and fair elections by preventing activities such as smuggling of contraband items and illicit trade that may influence or disrupt the electoral process.
