Kolkata, Feb. 26 -- The Election Commission of India will publish the voters' list for West Bengal on February 28 in compliance with Supreme Court directions but the Commission has clarified that this will not be the final electoral roll, and revised lists will be issued in phases thereafter.
According to Commission sources, all names will be included in the February 28 list, but voters will be categorised based on their verification status.
The list will indicate which voters have been found eligible and which names are still under verification, enabling electors to check the status of their entries.
The Commission is yet to take decisions on several cases involving data discrepancies.
