Dharamshala, Feb. 14 -- Himachal Pradesh celebrates a historic achievement as Dr. Manu Sharma from Gaggal in Kangra district becomes the state's first woman retina specialist to win a Gold Medal, earning national and international acclaim for her outstanding academic and professional accomplishments.
Dr. Sharma secured a Gold Medal after qualifying for the Fellowship of the All India Ophthalmological Society (FAICO) in the subspecialty of Vitreoretinal Surgery. She is currently pursuing her MCh super-specialty degree in Vitreoretinal Surgery from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.
