Shimla, Feb. 6 -- In a significant push towards next-generation digital infrastructure, the (DoT), Himachal Pradesh, has initiated rollout testing for 5G services on the high-capacity 26 GHz band in the state. The move aims to ensure that 5G operations meet prescribed technical and safety standards before large-scale deployment.
As part of the rollout process, Additional Director General of Telecommunications, Himachal Pradesh, Anil Kumar Gupta, along with Assistant Director General (Compliance) Neeraj, conducted detailed field tests of the 26 GHz band 5G services in the districts. The testing focused on network performance, spectrum compliance, signal quality and overall service reliability.
