Chennai, Oct. 13 -- With the ruling DMK terming the Supreme Court orderinga CBI probe into the Karur stampede that claimed 41 lives during the political rallyof TVK Founder and actor Vijay, as an interim orders, the Opposition parties inTamil Nadu , including the AIADMK, its ally the BJP and the PMK, welcomed itand exuded confidence that justice would be ensured for the victims andaccountability fixed on those responsible for it.
Senior DMK Counsel and Rajya Sabha Member P Wilson, who was one of thecounsels appeared on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government on a petition filed bythe TVK against the High Court constituting a SIT team to probe the tragedy,said the Apex Court order was only an interim order.
