Chennai, Feb. 23 -- The Principal Opposition DMK
on Tuesday boycotted the interim budget presented
by Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam,
who holds the Finance portfolio, and staged a walk out
from the State Assembly.
This is the 11th budget presented by Mr Panneerselvam
to the House.
Soon after Mr Panneerselvam rose to deliver his budget
speech, Deputy Leader of the Opposition Duraimurugan
sought to raise from issues.
However, Speaker P Dhanapal refused permission and
suggested that Mr Duraimurugan could say whatever he
wanted to, but would nothing go on records as he had
already asked Mr Panneerselvam to deliver his budget
speech.
