Ranchi, Feb. 13 -- Preparations for the smooth and orderly conduct of the Municipal (General) Elections 2026 are in the final stages, with the district administration intensifying arrangements in line with guidelines issued by the State Election Commission.
District Election Officer (Municipal)-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, Manjunath Bhajantri, on Friday inspected the dispatch centre set up at Morabadi Football Stadium to review arrangements for the dispatch of polling parties.
He examined seating arrangements for polling personnel, counter-wise distribution of election materials, safe storage of ballot boxes and other election-related items, vehicle management, security arrangements, drinking water, sanitation and lighting facilities....
