Lucknow, Aug. 29 -- In a compassionate gesture, Director General of Police (DGP), Uttar Pradesh, Rajeev Krishna, today distributed compensation cheques worth approximately Re 20 crore to the bereaved families of police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty, as well as to officers left disabled due to accidents.
The distribution was held under the Police Salary Package (PSP) scheme facilitated through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Uttar Pradesh Police and Bank of Baroda. The scheme ensures financial assistance to police personnel and their dependents in case of accidental death or permanent disability.
