Shahpur, Aug. 16 -- Braving heavy rains and difficult terrain, Shahpur MLA and Deputy Chief Whip in the Himachal Pradesh government, Kewal Singh Pathania, reached Batuni village in Rulhed Panchayat to console the family of Sanjeev Kumar, a shepherd who died tragically after being crushed under a boulder.
Pathania trekked nearly four kilometers of steep climb on foot to meet the grieving family and expressed condolences. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and urged the family to remain strong in this hour of grief.
He announced financial assistance for Sanjeev Kumar's wife, three daughters, and a son, and also assured full support for rebuilding their damaged house.
