Nirmal, May 27 -- Telangana Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare Minister Dr Danasari Anasuya Seethakka announced that a dedicated Department of Culture will soon be established under the Tribal Welfare Department, to preserve the identity, dignity, and heritage of tribal communities.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of a statue of tribal freedom fighter Komaram Bheem in Lokeshwaram village of Nirmal district, Seethakka emphasised the significance of Komaram Bheem's iconic slogan "Jal, Jungle, Zameen" (Water, Forest, Land), which she said not only inspired the Telangana movement but also symbolised the struggle for tribal rights and self-reliance.
