Saharanpur, April 12 -- In a major action, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (Anti-Terrorism Squad) in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh has arrested a man identified as Mufti Zakir over suspected links with individuals in Pakistan and alleged involvement in spreading provocative content online, officials said on Saturday.
According to officials, the accused had been under scrutiny for some time following multiple complaints suggesting that he was in contact with suspicious Pakistan-based numbers and was actively sharing objectionable and inflammatory posts on social media.
Acting on intelligence inputs, ATS officials began closely monitoring his activities.
