Lucknow, Feb. 5 -- Dense fog continued to wreak havoc across Uttar Pradesh on Thursday morning, severely affecting visibility in at least 15 districts, including Lucknow and Prayagraj.
The fog was so thick that it appeared to settle like rainfall, leaving roads wet and reducing visibility to near zero, making driving extremely dangerous.
In Lakhimpur Kheri district, a high-speed car rammed into a truck near Jalalpur village on the highway due to poor visibility. The tragic accident claimed the lives of three people: A husband, wife, and their relative from Bahraich, while two others sustained injuries. Taking cognizance of the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to expedite relief and rescue operations.
