Denial of ticket to former Pondy CM Narayanasamy, supporters stage dharna in front of PCC office for 2nd day

Puducherry, March 24 -- Supporters of former Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Tuesday staged to a dharna in front of the PCC office here protesting against the denial of ticket to the Veteran Congress leader to contest the April nine polls to elect the 30-member Territorial Legislative Assembly.

For the second suceessive day, his supporters gathered in front of the office and shouted slogans denouncing PCC President and former Chief Minister V Vaithilingam, who is also a current Lok Sabha MP, for not giving the requisite forms to contest the polls.

It may be noted that Mr.Narayanasamy was keen to contest from the Nellithoppe constituency this time and had even opened an election office there.
