Hyderabad, April 15 -- Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Wednesday cautioned the Central government against any delimitation exercise that could reduce the political representation of southern states, warning that such a move would spark a massive public movement across South India.
In a statement, KTR said the issue of constituency delimitation should not be treated as a routine legislative exercise if it results in injustice to progressive states. "If the voices of southern states are weakened in Parliament, it will not remain confined to politics, it will lead to a widespread agitation," he said.
