New Delhi, March 31 -- Delhi continued to reel under the impact of a western disturbance over northwest India, with scattered showers reported across parts of the city on Tuesday.

Safdarjung, the city's base weather station, recorded 2.1 mm of rainfall between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., which falls in the "light" category, according to the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) evening bulletin.

Other stations, including Palam, Ridge, Lodhi Road, and Ayanagar, also recorded light rainfall, with Lodhi Road reporting the highest at 2.8 mm.

Southwesterly surface winds picked up in the afternoon, reaching speeds of 20-25 kmph, with gusts likely to touch 40 kmph later in the evening and night, the IMD said.
